The New Mexico State Parks Division is conducting an online survey to gauge public opinion on how to improve the state's outdoor recreation landscape. The survey
is seeking public input to help shape the 2027–2031 Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP), a five-year roadmap guiding investments in parks, trails, and outdoor recreation statewide. The plan ensures New Mexico remains eligible for funding through the Land and Water
Conservation Fund, which supports community recreation projects.
Residents are encouraged to complete a brief online survey - open through April 15 - to share priorities, identify access gaps, and help direct future recreation funding across the state.
The public survey is at: https://bit.ly/NMSCORP

We are looking for a volunteer who is interested in a unique volunteer position. Camp Gorham needs basic caretaking skills for 2026. You can stay in the Ranger’s house with all utilities paid and come and go as you please. We ask that you keep an eye on camp and handle some of the basic maintenance around camp. Handle basic needs at your own pace including pool upkeep, plumbing, and electrical. This will be a fun volunteer position that could lead to a full time Ranger position in 2027. If interested, please email stephanie.balmer@scouting.org.
